章節 26: Quest for Hikari - Epilogue
[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]
The next day, Rance was curious about what was going on with Sill.
He wondered if she was done getting herself unenrolled out of Paris Academy and that was the reason why he was going to the said Academy.
While he was walking towards Paris Academy, he saw Sill jogging towards him in her usual outfit.
'.... I actually prefer her wearing that outfit over her uniform.' Rance admitted, as when Sill was close enough, she tripped over a small stone, causing Rance to act immediately and catch her before she fell.
He put her on an upright position, as she caught her breath before facing Rance.
"What? Are you done unenrolling on Paris Academy?" Rance asked, and Sill nodded. "Now that's done, we can just leave Leazas now. No use visiting places too repeatedly as always."
They began to leave Leazas City, but as they approached the southern gate that would allow them to exit, a certain ninja leaped out from a trapdoor and blocked their path. The gate had guards, but it seems like they weren't noticed yet.
"Rance! Please stop right there!" Kanami shouted, gesturing at Rance and Sill to halt in their tracks while readying herself for a battle that might occur.
Rance raised his hand as if to gesture that Sill stop doing anything other than watch.
"So, what does the Princess want with me now?" Rance asked while guessing something, his arms were crossed under his chest.
"She wants you to stay here longer, that's all." Kanami replied, as Rance began to approach the gate with Sill.
"Sheesh, I'm not going to say anything else than she's gotta be kidding me! If you want me to go back to the castle, defeat me or something." He nonchalantly spoke, before he stared at her ".... But you probably can't because I'll suplex you beforehand." He finished, as he and Sill resumed their leave.
Kanami, being speechless, couldn't do anything else to stop the two as she stared at their figures.
'.... How will Princess Lia react to this....? No matter, I'll have to follow him and track him down before I come back to Lia afterwards.'
[ ~ Line • Break ~ ]
{ One week Later.... }
[ Cue BGM: My Glorious Days (Rance 01 Version) ]
Rance sat inside a bathtub full of water, as he sighed in relief before grinning in satisfaction.
The warm water of the bathtub, the bubbles covering his body, and everything was pretty fine after a long investigation, and a really nice reward of 30,000 G. It wasn't that exhausting, but at least Rance finally gained a good rest.
The water was heated up using magic, by rubbing water molecules and heating them up to the right temperature.
"Hmmm~ I could stay here for a little longer~" He said, with a smile he usually has, "I surely do hope that Leazas's princess doesn't follow me all the way to the town of Ice. That'd be really bad...."
He kept humming for a while, until Sill barged into the room, bringing him out of his thoughts.
"M-Master Raaancceeee!!!" Sill shouted, as she approached Rance quickly.
"What? Somebody outside?" Rance asked, oblivious of the fact that he might have jinxed himself.
"The Princess of Leazas.... she's outside!" Sill replied, almost not really knowing what to do right now.
And then, the doorbell to Rance's house rang, and Rance hopped out of his bathtub.
"Sill! My clothing! Give me any clothing you can find, don't forget my underwear and those !" Rance immediately commanded Sill, as he was surely expecting this to happen and had already prepared for this.
The basement was locked off with several seals, illusions, and extra security just to be safe. Sill knew about it but didn't really want to enter the basement unless Rance allowed her to.
Although he waited for Sill to come back with his clothing, he began to dry himself using a towel and with magic before enhancing his hearing using magic.
"Oh, Rance! Lord Raaance! It's me, Lia!" The princess shouted from outside, wearing what seems to be a... wedding dress. "I have been awakened by your weapon of love and justice! I can't live without you anymore!"
Several Leazas Guardsmen were standing in two rows, while Maris was behind Lia, closing her eyes with a smile and putting her hands below her abdomen.
"Princess Lia, the city guard and the royal guard have surrounded the residence." Maris said, as Lia's smile widened.
"Thanks, Maris." Lia replied, as Maris nodded.
And then, Menad took a few steps forward until she was close to Lia.
"Umm.... may I ask...? What does that adventurer have to do with you, Princess?" Menad asked, curious about what happened months ago.
"Well, you see.... There is a tradition in the Leazas royal family that one would be wed to the one who had been their first!" Lia replied with enthusiasm, before banging her fist on Rance's door thrice.
"... I-Is there really...?" Menad wanted to ask, but she was interrupted by Maris.
"Don't worry about that. If Her Highness insists, there's no sense in arguing with her." Maris spoke, making Menad nod her head to try and accept this, but before that....
"Raaaaaannncceee!!!!! What the hell did you do to the princess!?!?!?" Menad shouted in pure disbelief.
And at this moment, Rance began to wear whatever clothing Sill gave him quickly. The pink haired girl also took
"Ahh! What are we gonna do, what are we gonna do, Master?!" Sill spoke, as Rance sighed.
"Run, duh! What else? Even if the backdoor is blocked, we only have one choice!" He then grinned as he held Sill closely.
"Tele-, no, [Fast Travel]?" Sill replied, with a blush on her face.
Rance nodded, as several runes began surrounding them while a magic circle manifested itself at their feet.
"But.... where are we going?"
"Somewhere! No, anywhere! Follow me, Sill!" Rance replied, before the runes and magic circle brightened.
"Y-Yes, anywhere!"
And then, they disappeared, never to be seen for a long while.
Lia then gestured a guardsman to bust open the door, which he did, before the other guardsmen broke through the backdoor.
Lia entered, and looked around.
"Rance!! Where are you?" Lia spoke while inspecting Rance's house, and the guardsmen assisted her in doing so. However, when she saw a patch of brown hair a the corner of her vision, she immediately ran towards it.
"Daaaaaaarrrrrrrliiing~!!!" Lia shouted as she jumped towards the figure and hugged it tightly.
".... Eh? This is... a doll?" Lia spoke afterwards, looking at the thing she was hugging.
It was a chibified version of Rance.
This only made her think that this was a gift, and squealed.
And, time passed.

{ Two Months Later....}
{ BGM Switch: Unarmed Moments (Rance 01) }
[ Location: Leazas Castle City ]
A girl with red hair and blue eyes wandered around the streets of the Castle City while a hired guardsman walked with her.
'The truth is, I don't know who my kidnapper was, but at least he's dead. Killed by my Prince Charming, who carried me by his arms. I don't know his name, but I hope to meet him again, and then.....'
The last thing she done was clasp her hands together, sending a prayer to her Prince Charming.

At Fujisaki Levels.....
"Hmm..... That guy, Rance..... It seems like I've got a lot of Levels from him." Willis spoke, remembering that time when he came to the shop and asked her to raise his levels. "Even though he strangely has enough EXP to Level up by 30. And he still has enough EXP to keep Leveling up..."
He might be a Balance Breaker, though that is impossible, he might have already reached his Level Cap by now...
*ring!* *ring!*
"The mail's here!" A mailman said, as he lent a mail to Willis.
After opening the mail and reading the letter inside, she began to chuckle.
"Ehehehe.... A Level God, huh... I became a Level God!" She spoke, hopping around in glee as something has been achieved.
Although, who will she be the Level God of? She might find out later...

In two months, Patty won 2nd in a championship, yet she wasn't at all discouraged. She could do better next time.
And Millie, she was a little less indifferent, yet her habits could just die hard. That also means that she periodically wears and takes off the Unlucky Glasses Rance gave her.

[ Location: Leacas Castle Gate ]
Menad was guarding the gate, as usual.
'Rance went far away.... and he's probably not coming back. The princess went after him on a special mission....' Menad thought, before sighing. '... And I'm still here, guarding the gate, eh? I never thought it was boring before.....'
"Ahh, geez! Raaaanceee! I can't believe you did that to the princess and now all of this is happening!" Menad suddenly shouted, stomping on the ground repeatedly and getting bewildered looks from the passerbys.
"... Haha.... Anyways.... Focus, Menad! You have to get stronger to protect Leazas!" She told herself, as she focused on her duties with her shoulders straightened.

Rance and Sill sat down under a tree's shade, enjoying their tea and Manju, when Rance remembered something.
"Sheesh, our house is still being patrolled daily by those guardsmen, and I'm here to wonder if that's practically as dirty as Khien Manor right now...." Rance spoke, heaving a huge sigh as steam came out of his mouth.
"Now..... what should we do next? Any suggestions?" Rance asked Sill, who nodded.
"Umm... There's the town named Custom. The people there are in trouble...." She answered, as Rance perked up, almost dropping the plate of manju that he has.
"I see, I almost forgot I took that quest from Keith a week ago... Then we'll go there and solve what problem was troubling the people of Custom! But first, let's just finish our snacks and tea."
He wondered, what events would await him there?
