"They're twins!" Madeline's breathing hitched in her throat when the puzzles finally fit, and she immediately covered her mouth with her palm to avoid making a sound that would gain Elijah's attention once again.

"What do I do?" Madeline silently thought to herself as she looked around for an easier route she could take to get away from here, but there was no possible way she could get out of here without attracting Elijah's attention. She was still in shock from having to discover that Elian had a twin, and yet he told no one about it??

Why didn't he say anything?

"Breathe, Maddie." She calmly cautioned herself, closing her eyes and taking each deep breath one step at a time. After regaining her senses to a normal rate, she opened her eyes and quietly crawled out of the corner where she hid, using their conversation as a way for her to sneak past so she could find Cassian.
