Spooky: A Halloween Chapter

Bella

My friends and I headed to a haunted house for Halloween, but not before Dad scared the living hell out of me.

I opened my bedroom door as someone jumped out at me wearing the scariest mask ever.

/"Rawr!/"

/"Ah!/" I heard laughing, stopped and grabbed my chest. /"Dad!/"

He pulled off his mask while still laughing. /"Oh, come on, Bella. It’s Halloween, for Christ’s sake./"

/"That wasn’t funny./" I pointed at him.

/"I thought it was funny./" He chuckled.

I rolled my eyes, walked past him, and went downstairs.

He followed me. /"Now, you know the rules./"

/"No drugs, no drinking, no strip clubs./" I turned and smiled.

/"Cute./" He rolled his eyes.

/"I thought so./" I grinned.

There was a knock at the door. I answered it to Andrew standing there.

Dad walked up behind me. /"Oh, it’s you./"
