Paige and I had been dating for six months. It’s been an incredible six months for her. Because, well, she had me, and I’m amazing. At least I was better than most of the schmucks out there.

One evening I was leaving class when I saw a couple of guys harassing a girl. Yeah, that was the guys’ first mistake. Why must guys always act like assholes towards women? Ooh, look at me, I’m a man, and you’re a woman. He clubs the woman over the head.

I will never understand that dipwad mentality.

I walked over to them. /"Is there a reason you dipwads feel the need to harass this poor girl?/"

/"Stay out of this, Bennett./" One guy grabbed the girl.

/"Now, why would I do that?/"

/"This is an argument between my girl and me./"

I noticed the girl didn’t look happy and had a wedding ring on her left hand. /"Right./" I turned to leave.
