The following days also went quite peacefully after that. Since Della's sister had already left and her parents were getting busy with their respective jobs, Della could finally breathe a little more and didn't experience any problems as long as she stuck to the routine arranged for her as usual.

As more days passed, Della also became more and more familiar with Austin. Since Adam still seemed to refuse to talk to her, Della could only feel awkward as she entered the student council room and saw that the atmosphere had become unpleasant due to the dispute between her and Adam. Hanging out with her friends didn't seem possible anymore. So, these few days, Della actually spent her free time at school with Austin. Some even started to confirm the rumors about them dating because of that. But Della didn't care anymore. Their time at school was no more than a few months away. Della thought the rumors wouldn't have any effect anymore as long as she didn't respond to the strange rumors.
