In a restaurant…
After a long-stretched silence, Vivian finally opened her mouth, "Look, Eddie… you should know that I will never fall for you, so stop coming after me. Stop this madness of trying to win my heart in three months. This is reality, not your father's fantasy novel. Be wise and quit all this. You have no idea how dangerous my father can be."
Eddie smirked. "I am glad to know that you still care about me."
Vivian dropped the spoon on the plate and gave him a hard look. "This is not a joke. I am serious."
"I am not joking either," he said firmly. "When I say I like you, I am telling the truth."
Vivian sighed; the agitation was clear on her face.
"Why are you not getting it? What you are dreaming about is not possible. You and I can never be together."
She expressed her concern and fear for the first time. It happened spontaneously. Her emotions came out, and she couldn't hide them behind her cold face.
