Why did it have to be John? Of all fucking people?

I walked around the camp, trying to help people load up so we could head out to the boats, but I simply couldn't stop thinking about Clare and John. If I hadn't seen John train for myself, I would say that she was just doing this to spite me.

However, she was right. He was a great fighter and knew her well, so I knew that he would have her back. And as much as I didn't like him, I knew he would help her.

Didn't make admitting it any easier though, and I definitely couldn't forget about it.

I just wanted to get back to Avondale as soon as possible. It would at least make me feel more in control being back in my own area.

And with these rogues being around, I was on even more edge. Brian and I had searched the area surrounding the camp all night, but couldn’t find a trace of them. Yet, I somehow knew they were still here…watching. Waiting.

I could feel it.
