章節 185: Plans for the stones -181

Alexander continued to discuss the plan for getting the infinity stones. It was risky, but the reward was high—very high indeed. In the right hands, just a few of the stones could do amazing things.

And there were no better hands than those of the Foundation. Whose entire purpose was to deal with and handle objects or power like that. Indeed, any one of those stones could be used to contain countless dangerous Keter class SCPs.

This not only allowed the earth to be safer than ever but also allowed both Alexander and the Foundation to reach new heights of power.

Even the space stone, the easiest one to get by far, could contain SCP objects that were near uncontainable. It could not only teleport but also manipulate space in all manner of ways.

Sealing off an area of space or stretching a small distance to be infinite. Making a space loop where no matter how one moves, they will just end up where they started. That should be able to contain even the Shy Guy if they lost control of him.

Indeed, Shield and Hydra had no idea what they had on their hands. Using supreme power over space itself just to power a few energy guns is a waste.

The same goes for the mind stone; everyone, even Ultron and Vision, wasted that. The power over mind and thought itself, reduced to shooting lasers? It should allow for reading minds, controlling them, making them! it was one of six aspects of the universe itself.

With it, the Foundation should be able to control or seal the minds of even the most powerful SCPs. Even if they couldn't fully control their minds, it should still be possible to make them think they didn't want to harm the Earth.

Truly, everyone, bar maybe the Ancient One, used the stones all wrong. Even she likely didn't use its full power due to being scared of attracting too much attention to earth. For while she personally was strong enough to not be afraid of anything, the same couldn't be said for the overall planet.

Perhaps only the power stone, the most simple one of them all, saw something close to proper use. All the others only got used for their real purpose once or twice outside of the snaps. It really was a waste to allow those stones to fall into the hands of those who didn't understand them.

Alexander naturally had to admit that most of this was mostly his own thoughts on the matter. It was entirely possible that many of the higher uses of the Stones couldn't easily be accessed without enough power to back them up, which was why the power stone was so important.

Yet, it was also one of the hardest stones for Alexander to get his hands on, given it wasn't on Earth, and he didn't get near there until Thanos brought it with him.

Even the space stone's ability to teleport wouldn't be too helpful since he didn't know where to even teleport to, to get it.

But he was sure they could figure out ways to use the stones without problems, though they had to be careful, something the Foundation could be when called for it.

Still, the question remained: how should he get around getting them? As he sat within his bunker and drummed his fingers against his armrest, he couldn't help but get a headache just thinking about it.

Getting the space stone would be easy. Just dig around within Shield for long enough. They might even have already started to think about using it to make weapons ahead of time due to the knowledge of SCPs they had gotten.

The real problem was that if he secured the space stone, how would he get his hands on the mind stone? After all, it came to Earth only after Shield had played around with the tesseract.

Not to mention that his current plans should avoid that whole incident in the first place, though he couldn't disagree that the idea of the mind stone entering his hands was well worth a small alien invasion.

It would naturally have to be handled carefully, but since it was possible for the Avengers to fix it, it would be barely effortless for the Foundation. Who had pretty much everything the Avengers did but just more and better.

A super soldier? The Foundation has dozens of such things. A skilled assassin? The Foundation had dozens of black widows. Ironman? Again, the Foundation had dozens, if not hundreds, of such suits.

The Hulk? Yep, he was part of the Foundation, which meant that only Thor and a guy with a bow were missing. And, well, Alexander had plenty of ideas of who could fill in for those two.

"Well, let's start with getting an idea of where the tesseract is and if Shield is using it or not, and take it from there." he whispered as he took a breath and went to get SCP-113; it was some for Alexandra to make a few calls.

Steve Rogers, Bucky Barnes, and Peggy Carter stood in the dimly lit briefing room of SITE-12, their expressions tense as they reviewed the latest intel reports. Their anti-Hydra unit had been hunting Hydra across Europe, but recently, their efforts had been met with frustration. Each Hydra facility they raided turned out to be abandoned, leaving them with more questions than answers.

"Another empty facility," Bucky muttered, tossing the report onto the table. "That's the third one this month."

Peggy frowned, her sharp eyes scanning the map spread out before them. Red pins marked known Hydra locations, most of which had already been neutralized or found empty. "They're either moving faster than we can track, or they're getting smarter about hiding their operations."

Steve leaned back in his chair, his face a mask of determination. "We need to find out what's changed. Hydra's been on the run ever since we captured SCP-5151. Maybe that spooked them into changing their tactics."

"Perhaps they have a new leader," Peggy suggested. "Someone with the foresight to stay ahead of us."

Steve nodded. "It's possible. But we can't just sit here and wait for them to make the next move. We need to be proactive."

Bucky crossed his arms, a thoughtful look on his face. "We've got to change our approach. If they're hiding, we need to flush them out. Make them come to us."

Peggy tapped a finger on the map, her mind working quickly. "What if we set a trap? Leak false information about a high-value target or a compromised facility. Hydra won't be able to resist the opportunity."

Steve's eyes lit up with approval. "That's a solid plan. But we need to make sure the bait is believable. Hydra has informants everywhere. They can't suspect a thing."

Peggy gave a confident nod. "Leave that to me. I'll work with the Foundation's intelligence team to create a credible scenario. In the meantime, we need to keep up appearances and continue our raids. Even if we're only finding empty facilities, we can't let Hydra think we've backed off."

Steve stood, his resolve as strong as ever. "Alright, let's get to work. We can't let Hydra regain their footing. Not after everything they've done."

Weeks passed, and the anti-Hydra unit continued to lay traps, each more elaborate and convincing than the last. They set up fake SCP transports, spread rumors of compromised facilities, and even staged false captures of supposed high-ranking Hydra agents. But each time, they were met with silence. Hydra seemed to have vanished entirely, leaving no trace behind.

Steve, Peggy, and Bucky sat in the briefing room once more, the atmosphere heavy with frustration. "It's like they've disappeared off the face of the earth," Steve said, rubbing his temples.

Peggy sighed, leaning back in her chair. "They must have gone deeper underground than we anticipated. Every lead we get turns into a dead end."

Bucky nodded, his expression grim. "They're out there, though. We just need to find a new way to flush them out."

Steve looked at the map, his eyes scanning the red pins marking Hydra's former strongholds. "We need to think outside the box. What if they're not just hiding, but changing their strategy entirely? We need to adapt to their new tactics."

Peggy tapped her chin thoughtfully. "What if we look at places they haven't targeted before? Areas we wouldn't expect them to go. They might be hiding in plain sight, blending in with the chaos of the world."

Steve's eyes brightened with a glimmer of hope. "That's a good point. We need to broaden our search parameters. Look for any unusual activity, no matter how small or insignificant it seems."

Bucky stood, his determination unwavering. "We'll find them. They can't hide forever. And when we do, we'll make sure they never get the chance to hurt anyone again."

---------------

[SITE-009]

Steve and his friends find out the hard way that Hydra is a snake that likes to hide in the darkness and fester. Alexander was once again forced to call upon Solomon's wisdom, and he needed to summon a new SCP.

He would have liked it if he could avoid it, but Solomon's wisdom wasn't omnipotent. Sure, it might be the closest thing to the infinity snap back in the SCP universe, but it had its limitations.

It couldn't possibly keep the SCPs from materializing forever. Unless he let the steam escape, it would boil over, and he would find himself with far more SCPs on his hands, than he could deal with without the ability to infinity snap them away.

So, for now, he was forced to play by the system's rules. "System, summon a new SCP."

[Ding! Understood Host, please stand by as the random SCP is summoned!]

[Ding! Warning! SCP-610 has appeared!]

[Ding! Warning! Host a SCP has appeared in the world and is outside Foundation control! Host is asked to deal with the situation and follow the Foundation's goal of Securing, containing, and Protecting!]

[Ding! Warning! Host a SCP has appeared in the world and is outside Foundation control! Host is asked to deal with the situation and follow the Foundation's goal of Securing, containing, and Protecting!]

[Ding! Congratulations to Host for getting MTF Beta-7]

The rewards other than the MTF were another two SITEs: a class 4 and another 3. The class 4 was likely a reward for the Keter class SCP, leaving just the class 3. This meant that the remaining SCP was likely just a Safe or Euclid class one, so hopefully, it wouldn't be too bad.

Still, the fact that SCP-610 had appeared was also enough to cause a headache, The Flesh That Hates. So yeah, now the Marvel Universe had its first real zombies, and it really wasn't something it needed.

He would prefer not to have superpowered zombies running around, turning this perfectly fine Marvel world into Marvel Zombies; thank you very much!

Well, he could only hope it would still appear in the remote parts of Russia or that the world would see some more big mushroom-shaped clouds soon. He wasn't about to allow it to settle down in a center of population.

He would rather burn it with nuclear fire than let it spread, and if one isn't enough, throw a dozen at it, Foundation style.

"First, find out where it is, and then decide about nuclear bombardment." He mumbled as he started to send the information to those who should know it. He was sure that the Foundation would use its satellite access and coverage to search the entire world.

So, it hopefully shouldn't take too long to find it, and if it did, then that was a good thing since it meant the current spread of SCP-610 was so minimal that it couldn't make an impact and could potentially be fully contained and controlled.

"Next, Stark, then I think it's finally time to deal with the Kingpin, I have been putting that fat guy off long enough." He said stretching as he moved to once more get SCP-113 and make another call, Stark had been a good boy handling the nuclear case and needed his reward.
