章節 24: suspicion
"Is that…" I heard the voices murmur as we entered through the college gates.
My peers and everyone else in the college heard about what happened. They knew what I did...and they wont let me live it down…
"Oh..he's back"
"Quick hide your stuff-"
"Why?"
"He stole a lot of stuff from gamestop I heard."
The murmurs and whispers filled my ears and i could do nothing to stop them..the false accusations make me just want to cry…but not on the first day back-

"So is it true Gabriel? I heard you stole from the convention that happened." One of Gabriel's peers asked him right after class.
"No no..that was a misunderstanding-" Gabriel said explaining the situation.
"Ok then tell us?"
"Oh- uh..long story."
"I didn't think you'd had the guts to do something like that man- " He continued rambling, catching the attention of the others.
"Gabriel stole something?"
"Our Gabriel??"
Everyone was surprised Gabriel "Did" that and it was more of a thing they let go

Me and Gabriel were in different streams and had different classes most of the time.
Chemistry was just over and I had a free period so I rested my head on the desk until the time came to leave.
And the moment my eyes shut..the whispers got louder-
"Man i can't find my phone-"
"Do you know where you put it?"
"I bet he had something to do with it-"
"Wake him up and ask him."
"He shouldn't be sleeping here anyways-"
I felt someone's hand touch my back and gently shook me indicating me to get up and so I did.
I stared the person right in the face as they asked me.
"Did you steal it…"
I didn't say anything- they wouldn't believe me even if I did and I don't want to cause a scene.
The person was a guy with brown hair, his eyes were fully round and brown as well.
He hesitated before asking me the same question again.
"Did you steal it??"
….
.
.
No response.
"Check his bag!" one of his friends shouted in the background.
And he tried to do just that but I grabbed his hand stopping him before he even got the chance to.
"What's your problem??" He was furious.
"What's your problem going into other people's bags?" I asked him before he pulled his hand away.
"Look, I just want my phone- ok? If you don't have it just let me check and-"
"Where's your proof that I have it? What physical proof do you have to even raise your suspicion?"
They just looked at me with a face of disgust before picking up for their friend.
"Look dude if you don't have it just let him make sure you have no reason to hide it!"
I shook my head before bringing my bag closer to me.
The guy grabbed my hand and tugged the bag from my hand. I tugged back and one of his friends ended up holding me down along with the other-
