"Tsk. And here I thought you were a cool boss." I suppress a smile. "Looks like you're an outcast. Everyone here is wearing a costume except you."

He chuckles. "You think I'm cool?"

"Meh. Sometimes. When you're not being a prick." I press my lips together. What is going on with me tonight? I'm usually able to control myself from calling people names—especially the boss in front of me. And yet I couldn't help myself. I should apologize. 

The corner of his lips twitch. He doesn't look offended as he shoves his hands into his pants pockets and observes the lively party on the floor. I take the chance to ogle him, forgetting about the apology, and hoping he wouldn't catch me staring, what with the crowd, the dark lights, and my mask.
