Though her voice was low, Zhou Hengyang heard her. His brows furrowed, and his chopsticks froze momentarily.

"I'm sorry," she said.

"Why are you apologizing to me?"

"Never mind." Zhou Hengyang laughed, a hint of bitterness in his tone. "Let's eat."

"I didn't expect Tian Xiulan's cooking to be so good," Su Wen remarked, eyeing the sumptuous spread.

Zhou Hengyang's expression darkened.
