章節 42: Chapter 42: Gifts

I knew that Emily was pregnant. I sensed it in her about a week ago. Soon, my child would grow big in her belly, and I was both nervous and excited about it. I would have found out sooner or later, but Feren had told me what happened a week before that.

She said that Emily had come to her in the middle of the night one night and spoke of a strange dream that she had; one that was a premonition of her pregnancy. Feren told me that Emily didn’t want me to know about it yet, but wolves are a lot different than humans are; we find out sooner than they thought.

My child would be a daughter and would have white hair. I was mostly excited about that because raising a white wolf meant that my child would have a strong destiny. I didn’t yet know what that destiny meant, but I was excited to find out with her. I had to keep it secret from her for the time being and I did up until now. Tomorrow was Christmas, and I had a couple of surprises for Emily.
