Ronnie’s POV
Another dreary Monday morning.
I sit at my desk with my third cup of coffee. I’m learning that I drink more coffee when I’m anxious. I wait for Sabrina to come in and give me my weekly schedule, but the time is dragging by slowly.
I even messaged Max earlier to tell him not to come into my office this morning. I need all the quiet time I can get right now to think about how to approach Sabrina today. And as much as I love Max, he’s a massive distraction.
Taking another gulp of my black coffee, I check the clock for the thousandth time since entering into the office. Finally, the knock I’ve been waiting for comes. It’s soft but insistent, just like usual.
“Come in,” I say. Sitting up straight and tall, I make sure to look as professional as possible.
Sabrina walks in and closes the door softly behind her.
“Good morning, Mr. Ledger. Are you ready for this week’s schedule?” she asks. It doesn’t escape me that she used my last name as I had previously asked her to.
