Nancy’s POV

Ronnie said he loved me last night.

Those three words have been burning in my brain all day, and frankly, it’s a little distracting while I’m at school. I can’t afford to not be focused now, not with graduation so close.

I wasn’t sure if he meant to say those words, so I did my best not to react. Even when we had sex again in bed later that night he didn’t repeat those words. So, I didn’t mention them again either.

I felt elated when he said he loved me. But it felt like he only said them at that moment because of sex. I’ve heard of other guys doing similar things, only saying sweet nothings to a girl because of the high they get from sex. I hope they were honest words. I want to say them back, but only if he truly meant it.
