Ronnie’s POV
Wednesday is when Nancy and I are finally able to catch up. She got back to me two days ago, but work and school kept us from each other until now. I decided to take her out to Lake Erie. It’s about a 45-minute drive from home, but it'll be worth it on a nice day like this.
We’re walking along the water line, our pant legs rolled up and shoes in our hands. The wind is gentle as it blows through Nancy’s hair, and the smell of the sea is calming my nerves left over from our fight.
We’ve been walking in comfortable silence for around half an hour, but I know I need to discuss what happened. With a sigh, I hold her hand a little tighter.
“I’d like you to explain your side of the argument from before. Unfortunately, neither of us had the right mindset to hear each other out,” I say gently.
