章節 10: Gold, paper and love, will mark our love for all eternity.

Some time passed and finally the time for the wedding had arrived.

Hermes watched Hela walk beside Ina.

It was curious to think that Ina wore a suit and Hela a dress.

Really cute despite being unusual, for him who would wear a suit was Hela.

He avoided those thoughts by only worrying about performing the wedding.

He happily walked over to Ina and opened his arms to hug her. "Ina my dear!"

Ina, who knowing Hermes' temperament could already imagine that he was coming to hug her, smiled happily. "Hermes! How am I?"

Hermes briefly observed Ina's appearance and she was really beautiful and healthy, it was really amazing the power of a good rest.

He smiled, feeling more peaceful and happy, it seemed very clear that Hela had probably put a lot of effort into taking care of Ina in these few days. "Yes, you look beautiful and so does Hela..."

Ina smiled beautifully and tightly hugged one of Hela's arms. "I specially chose her outfit."

Hermes briefly watched Hela's face and he could easily see her face flushed like a beautiful tomato.

Really funny. "You have good taste Ina, let's start with the ceremony?"

"Yea!"

Ina, Hela and Hermes positioned themselves in the middle of the empty expanse.

Hermes was in a good mood and he grinned at the young couple. "Well, the current decor doesn't match a wedding, maybe you want to get married on the beach?"

He snapped his fingers and suddenly sand and strong winds came up.

He had erred and caused a desert to arise.

Caught by surprise, he couldn't react properly and just felt the sand invade his mouth.

He snapped his fingers once more and water magically appeared on the horizon.

Ina, despite being a little disheveled, laughed shyly when she heard Hermes coughing trying to get all the sand out of his mouth.

Hela turned to Ina and gently arranged the bride-to-be's messy hair. "Better not..."

Hermes nodded with Hela and snapped his fingers once more. "... Maybe in a church?!"

Hela who was taken completely by surprise looked at such a church filled with disbelief.

Hermes had chosen a church that was completely destroyed.

There was barely time for Ina to question what was going on, the silence was enough for Hermes to immediately change the location.

"Well, here seems problematic… A forest!"

He snapped his fingers once more and internally hoped he would get it right this time.

Fortunately this time they were in a forest, full of greenery and the scent of wet grass.

He sighed in relief, mostly because Hela was already glaring at him.

Well, all of Hela's protective instinct was completely devoted to Ina.

Hela could feel at peace immersed in that lush greenery and somehow even felt at home.

She smiled, feeling satisfied.

Hela turned to see Ina's reactions.

Ina had her eyes closed and just focused on listening to the sound of birds and the smell of grass.

She seemed to like the tranquility of the place.

"What do you think of here, Ina?"

Ina nodded, that place looked perfect. "Anywhere is fine… Are you satisfied, Hela?"

Hela nodded and squeezed Ina's hand affectionately.

Hermes clapped his hands together feeling excited.

The three walked briefly towards the small altar covered with roses.

Hela shyly slowed her steps and looked at Hermes, feeling filled with fear and shame.

Hermes looked back at her and felt curious.

Hela pulled Ina closer to her and hugged her waist.

"Hermes, could you take pictures of us?"

Hermes and Hela looked at each other for a few seconds, both confused and surprised.

"..."

"..."

Hela initially didn't put herself in the position of a person about to be married, it was just a punishment she was able to carry out and incidentally Ina thought the same way.

But in those few days, she watched Ina grow in her heart, gradually more important and beautiful in her eyes.

Something bloomed inside her and she just wanted to keep protecting and becoming closer to Ina.

Hela often observed humans in the midst of their rituals and marriage always generated a lot of curiosity in her thoughts.

Festivities always looked interesting and somehow she wanted to experience that too.

She knew the idea of photographs and wedding vows, in her eyes that was once insignificant, but now she just wanted to be able to try her best.

Hermes finally snapped out of her troubled thoughts and grinned, he could see how complicated Hela looked and he just wanted to make everything easier. "Clear! It is a wedding after all."

Ina, who could feel the wind blowing against her face, smiled as she listened to the brief exchange between Hela and Hermes.

Hela with each passing day became more and more sweet, kind and beautiful.

Hermes snapped his fingers causing a camera to appear in his hands and finally took numerous pictures of the couple.

Hela and Ina were legitimately happy.

Hela smiled shyly and Ina always smiled broadly, clinging to Hela's arms, accepting fate and mostly willing to make it hers.

After dozens of flashes, everyone was satisfied and ready to proceed with the ceremony.

The wedding had no guests, but it wasn't like they were alone.

On some branches among the trees of the grove were Hugin and Munin.

Odin watched everything through the two crows and seemed relatively curious about the overly affectionate relationship between the two women.

Sitting on his throne, he followed everything and had his attention taken relatively when he noticed the presence of another person inside his room.

"What do you want, Loki?"

Loki who had just entered the room disguising himself as one of the guards

Valaskjálf is Odin's palace located in Asgard, built and covered with pure silver it was resplendent and shining.

Odin opened his eyes vaguely and Loki immediately smiled as he reverted back to his natural appearance.

"I heard my daughter is getting married, I was curious if you were accompanying or not."

Odin sighed and asked Loki to approach his throne.

Loki in the blink of an eye appeared at Odin's side and even dared to lean on the throne.

"What do you want, brother?"

Odin watched Loki's eyes and whispered. "Why did you betray your own daughter?"

Loki didn't hide his surprised face, but he smiled softly.

He touched his brother's shoulder.

Odin had a really pitiful appearance, he looked like he was about to succumb at any moment. "Brother, you tend not to like my methods of solving our problems. Just let Hela follow her own will, she'll be fine."

The truth was relatively painful.

After all, Loki was the one who told Hades about his daughter's thoughts.

He'd always known about how uncomfortable she felt about human life, how they seemed to live in regret and misery.

Either way, he knew Hades would speak to Zeus.

Let it all be done by the Greeks, Loki only needed a few words to change the fate of Hela or anyone else.

Odin didn't understand, seemed incapable of understanding and wouldn't bother trying to understand, closed his eyes again and spoke.

"She looks happy..."

Loki smiled and before retreating completely from Odin's palace.

Odin could feel Loki's presence fading and he sighed.

He always felt very confused about Loki's actions, but this time he decided to just ignore it.

Odin, when facing the death of his body, felt his existence wither and he surrendered to the selfish feeling of surviving.

The solution was Hela's heart?! So he wouldn't interfere, even though he knew it could become a bigger problem than he was able to handle.

He kept his attention on what the crows saw.

Hela stood beside Ina and the two had their arms intertwined as they stared at Hermes.

Hermes filled his lungs with air and smiled, that forest was really a great choice.

"Well, it's my first marriage… So let's get started."

Hermes picked up a small winged notebook, subtly flapping its wings as it floated in front of Hermes' field of vision.

Hela rolled her eyes, Hermes was known for his winged sandals, but he had every item imaginable along with a pair of wings.

In a way he was even comical.

Hermes coughed twice and adjusted his suit gently.

He smiled, staring at the pages of his notebook. "Thank you to everyone who presents... In this case only the brides... By the power given to me by Zeus and by Ejon I declare you officially married."

Hermes took the notebook and slammed it shut.

He smiled widely and clapped his hands happily.

Hela arched her eyebrows and blinked half a dozen times until she understood that Hermes had finished the ceremony.

She stared at Hermes with eyes full of dubious feelings. "Only that?"

Hermes faded his smile and paused briefly to think.

He opened his small notebook once more and checked the few sentences written in it.

Yes, that was all.

He smiled in satisfaction. "Yes, married, be happy! What else did you want, Hela?"

Extremely sensitive to the situations around her, Ina held Hela close to her.

"Hela, don't be mad."

Hela had a bad look on her face and Hermes felt funny.

The woman stared at Ina and her feelings softened, she looked happy.

She sighed, easing her thoughts, if she was happy everything would be fine.

Of course, everything would be fine and Hermes would remain with two eyes and one mouth.

Hela didn't have her powers, but she had sharp nails and enough strength to rip that pair of wings off.

Hermes snapped his fingers, making a paper and a golden feather appear before them.

He stopped briefly to think about and something was missing.

He sighed thoughtfully and stared at the feather for a few seconds.

Of course he was forgetting something.

Finally he exhaled that he had some idea what was missing and snapped his fingers again.

Hela could only feel irritated, especially seeing that what he was forgetting was simply making Isis present.

Isis was the Egyptian goddess of fertility and love.

Filled with kindness and pity, she had offered to bless their union.

Hermes smiled towards Isis a little awkwardly, he had simply forgotten one of the most important goddesses possible.

He handed the quill to Isis and she softly signed her name.

She finally handed the quill and paper back to Hermes and walked smoothly towards the young couple.

She walked closer to Ina and whispered in her ear. "I offer blessings for your eyes and your existence, may your marriage be happy and prosperous..."

Ina nodded and could feel her heart speed up at those words.

Isis then did the same towards Hela and approached to whisper her blessings.

"I offer blessings to your heart and thus heal your wounds, I will not allow the betrayals of your equals to make you lose your purpose, may your heart be happy and prosperous..."

Hela kept her face serious, but there was relief in her heart.

Isis turned her attention back to Hermes and touched his shoulder. "Next time don't forget me."

Hermes nodded fiercely, he would blame himself for that for a long time.

So embarrassing.

Isis smiled, feeling funny and positioned herself beside Hermes, after the end of the whole ceremony she should take the signed paper and keep it in one of her temples, guaranteeing protection and love permeated by her blessings.

Hermes composed himself and handed the feather to Hela. "Well, just sign here... This contract is eternal, you will be one for eternity... Or at least for a lifetime."

Hela could see Isis's signature and just below she signed her name.

"Now it's your turn Ina."

Hela walked over to Ina and touched one of her hands.

She gently made her hold the quill and positioned it gently so that she could sign her name next to hers.

Isis, who was watching all that, seemed really satisfied, despite the regrets, that was a true couple and their promising story.

Ina had no difficulties writing her name, especially after Hela's help and finally Hermes had the paper and quill in his hands again.

He smiled in satisfaction and joked. "I knew King Midas's curse would do some good... In his greed he touched a chicken turning it into pure gold... Well, even though I died a few days later, I must confess that these gold feathers made great pens."

Isis did not know that story and felt intrigued. "Why did he turn the chicken into gold?"

Hermes smiled and tone funny. "He asked Bacchus that everything he touched would turn to gold, the problem was that he couldn't eat or touch his family members without turning them to gold."

Isis smiled understanding the situation. "Bacchus is astuteness and treacherous."

Hermes agreed.

Finally the marriage was finalized.

Hermes positioned next to Isis, the woman nearly half a meter taller than the man.

Beautiful and tall, she carried herself with a beautiful smile filled with delicacy and elegance.

She took the paper for herself and placed it in a bag strapped to her body.

Hermes nodded and finally all pending issues had been resolved.

"Well, from now on I grant you a thousand years of honeymoon, enjoy it and live happily, right?!"

Hela and Ina smiled, the two always kept close and their arms intertwined.

Hermes snapped his fingers and finally he and Isis disappeared and next to them the landscape of the beautiful forest disappeared being completely taken by the void.

"Let's go to home, Ina?"

Ina hugged Hela's waist and nodded. "Sure, I want to eat something sweet."

Hela smiled and nodded. "I will make something delicious."
