Selena's POV

I could feel the hammering of my heart as I boarded the plane going to the capital. I already know what I am going to do and what the job is all about, but still, I feel nervous about seeing my ex after seven years.

I hated Skyler for what he had done to me, but I was not happy with what happened to him. I don't know how serious his condition is, and I know I was hoping he would get better. I couldn't sleep, so I opened the window shade since I occupied the window seat. I looked at the dark clouds outside and took a deep breath as I inclined on my seat.

No wonder we experienced some turbulence; it seemed like Vazilia's weather was not as good the last time I came here. We landed safely, and my anxiousness continued as I waited for my checked-in luggage in the baggage reclaim area near the carousel.
