Valerio looked at her, and a deep breath fled his nose. "There is something that we want to talk to you about."

"And what is it?" Everly asked, curious as to what it might be.

Valerio stared at her and finally mustered up the courage, he parted his lips saying, "Well, eleven years ago...something happened between a lady and me. I swear it was not consensual. She drugged me and basically…" He cleared his throat, not able to complete his sentence.

Everly arched her brow at him and tilted her head to one side. "Valerio... that was eleven years ago. I didn't even know you existed then. I don't think it's a problem or anything."

She said, unsure why he was talking about such a thing as though it were a big deal.

Even if it was one year or a few months ago, it's still neither her business nor a problem.

"That's not the main problem, Everly." Valerio shook his head at her.
