And the female rabid vampire obliged. She went silent right away.

Rayden and Lars were both stumped, but Aria beamed with a smile.

All around them, the rabid vampires stopped growling and salivating. They stood up straight as if the vampire in front of them was their king, their ruler.

"Aiden," Aria called.

The vampire turned his head to look at Aria.

"Your name is Aiden Thompson," the young she-wolf told him. "It was written on the gravestone. Well, it is destroyed now, but I am pretty sure that that is your name."

Aiden rubbed at his forehead, smoothing the creases that built between his brows.

The name did sound familiar.
