|Though I have not posted it yet, I have finished the first chapter of my new novel, but my plans to start writing it fully will come after this, I would like to finish a novel for once...well, for the second time.|
Dawn POV
This god...he's quite a scary fellow because instead of creating angels, he used his powers to go around and recruit some of the strongest beings from the other side to join us, the giants.
Specifically the same giants from the Greek myths, I knew that they were still alive and transported to another world since their existence was hunted down...but this is just...
Each step, measured and thunderous, reverberated through the trembling ground, heralding their arrival. Their colossal presence cast an expansive shadow that can swallow the once-confident enemy forces in a blanket of dread.
The air crackled with an overwhelming energy as the giants moved in unison, creating an unsettling symphony of echoing footsteps. The ground trembled beneath their collective might, threatening to rupture with the sheer force of their presence. It was as if the very fabric of reality strained under the weight of these ancient behemoths.
Their eyes, cold and distant like the void itself, scanned the landscape, their gazes sweeping over me with an eerie synchronicity. The grotesque features on their colossal faces bore witness to eons of battles and untold stories, etched into the rough terrain of their skin. The air was thick with the scent of power, an ancient, almost tangible force that hung like a suffocating shroud.
As I tried to comprehend the sheer magnitude of this otherworldly congregation, a shiver ran down my spine. The fear that had gripped me before intensified exponentially. It was no longer just about facing the humans and demons anymore, it was about standing against an entire legion of mythic nightmares, a force that defied reason and seemed to mock the very notion of mortal courage.
These giants...only people of the Roses caliber can take them...the krakens are smaller in comparison...this is ridiculous, that God guy, seriously.
I then took my phone and called Jerah, I didn't even let him speak as I chewed him out and then had his girlfriend join the call from the other side and chewed her out too. Why are they not interfering?!
Damn, hanging out with the Silvers is turning me like them, where is my calmer and more majestic self?
The spies who had ventured alongside me, hidden in the shadows, gazed in sheer terror as the giants loomed large on the horizon. Fear etched across their faces, their expressions mirrored the collective disbelief at witnessing creatures that, until this very moment, had existed solely within the realm of myth and legend.
The realization that these colossal figures were not figments of imagination, but living nightmares walking among us, sent a chill down the spine of each spy. The very foundations of their understanding of reality were shaken, replaced by a profound sense of vulnerability in the presence of these mythic giants.
The spies exchanged wide-eyed glances, grappling with the incomprehensible truth that history had been rewritten before their very eyes. The myths they had dismissed as fantastical tales suddenly manifested before them, and the terror in their eyes reflected the profound shift from skepticism to stark, gut-wrenching reality.
*****
I went to the tree since we're currently staying there to prepare things with the watchers who are preparing every kind of trap to eliminate our enemies. We have a lot of plans to fight those who are coming on foot, and even those who come by flying, but the angels are different, and now we have giants to deal with.
I had called in earlier to inform the village already and they said that they'll host a meeting after dinner to deal with the problem.
Perseus will need to round up all the secret monsters that this village is hiding because even with them, it will be hard to face the army.
I rushed home and found Perseus in the bath with Ruka in his lap.
"Oh."
"Don't worry, we're not doing anything." Ruka reassured
"Are you sure? I can come back later."
"I'm not like you guys, just tell us what you've been dying to tell us."
I then told them of the giants and asked them what they were doing. Ruka usually won't do things like this without any ulterior motives after all, the only times where I see her physically close to him like this is when she says 'Don't bother anyone, come here.' and just cling to him.
But it seems that she was just helping him deal with the grief, she did feel attached to Paradis a bit, so she knows what he's going through, and she knew AMinu even longer, even though they were not close, she does feel somewhat sad, and so Perseus and Ruka are just relaxing to get their mind off of things.
"This is bad..." Perseus then sighs, "Well, it seems like we'll need help of our own."
"What kind of help? The other Perseus?" Ruka asked
"No..." he shook his head, "Who else would you think hate about this world invasion thing more than anyone else?"
I then realized what he meant, he even gave Ruka a signal by pointing to his wrist, as is to tell time or point at his watch.
"Wouldn't she have interfered earlier?"
"I don't know, but if she won't...we can just ask whether we can get help again." Perseus answered
"Didn't we already get their help once?"
"On a technicality, but what choice do we have if we were to face the giants along with the others? It's not like Jerah is going to say, 'Hey, maybe they're taking it too far, maybe I'll join in and at least take the giants out while you just handle your regular enemies."
"When do you want to do it?"
"After the meeting tonight, I gotta tell my parents that I'd be leaving for a bit after all."
