Ruka POV

"I don't think that it's morally right bribing a child to tell her father's or master's secret."

Lilith and Leilah now wanted secrets about this second and stronger Perseus, so they resorted to treating her with sweets, I plan to not get involved, but I'm also curious about this so-called alternate universe, maybe this Eislyn person knows an alternate version of me who is married to someone.

If I can get the name, maybe I'll go find them and see if it works out, because my path is really narrowing down to Perseus, the guy whom I've put in my last resort category. I don't get why guys refuse to meet me again, there's nothing wrong with me.

'You love yourself more than you're willing to love others.'

I can't believe that those guys called me a narcissist.

'Your standards are too high, you'll never find someone.'

High? I just want someone smart, handsome, rich, and not a weirdo. Perseus fit every criterion except the not a weirdo portion.

Besides, there's nothing wrong with having a high standard, a person like me is rare to come by, I'm more beautiful than most mortals and my status is definitely higher, so they have to match me as well.

But what scares them off the most is that my life is permanently tied to Perseus, so that lessened my options and choices, damn it. I can't accept defeat yet, I can't let that guy win.

"Say, do you know any beautiful blue-haired girl that looks like me?"

"I don't know anyone that looks like you but I do have a mother who also has blue hair and blue eyes." Eislyn replied while eating the ice cream Leilah provided earlier.

"I'm married to him in that universe too?!"

"No, her name is Lia, and she doesn't look like you. She's also a princess, are you a princess?"

"Oh thank goodness, I was about to go insane, no offense Asher."

"Don't worry, fate will allow me to be born...somehow." he responded.

3rd Person POV

In Vincent's dream, Vincent heard a shout calling him back and so he came back to see Lucifer still stuck in the cage, and the man with white hair was nowhere to be seen.

"He has given us our privacy, now let's talk." Lucifer said while sitting in a more relaxed manner, "You're going to have to prepare yourself mentally though because the decision that you're about to make will literally change the next course of your life."

"What do I have to do?"

"You see, there are 2 options, well, 3, but I'll present you with 2 options." Lucifer presented 2 fingers, "We'll go with the third if you don't like the 2. The first option is that I'm allowed to roam your head and be a voice in your head, while the second option is that we merge our memories together and become one."

"Isn't the first similar to what we're doing now? Can't I just free you or just let you continue to stay?"

"Well, you see..." Lucifer smiled, "If I still am in the cage, you'll be brought here forcefully over and over, and each time, it'll strain and hurt you. As for freeing me, if we make contact when we're, we'll merge, the man earlier can let me be free while preventing us from merging permanently.

"As for the merge, he can speed it up and make it instantaneous, apparently he got relations to the god of dreams and memories or whatever. So, what do you say?"

"Who are you to me, really?" Vincent asked, "I've never seen you before, and you don't look like my family either, I can still recognize and remember their faces, and you don't look like anyone."

"Well, I'm the memories of your past life, your brother seems to have activated me. Usually, there shouldn't even be a dormant soul, and yet here I am."

Vince was confused, to say the least, he didn't know what to do. His new parents have explained to him about the concept before, but to think that it exists...

"If you need time, just shout that you want to wake up, the guy has the power to force you awake without hurting you." Lucifer said, "He'll come get you."

Ruka POV

It didn't take long, but Vince started to wake up and unlike before, there really seem to not be any long-lasting side effects on him, the mysterious second Perseus also woke up and just left the room with the little girl following closely behind with the whole jar of Lynda's cookies.

Vince then told us about Lucifer and the options presented to him, he didn't want to tell Rylee and Nyra, so he's seeking our help since Perseus is still charging the machine.

Even with the moon's refined mana, it seems that it's still taking him long, the machine is just ridiculous. The 3 children left the room for now because they probably already knew the answer to what we would do and they didn't want to intrude.

"That is a hard decision." Maple commented, "Even going to negotiate with my 2 brothers would seem easier, I've never dealt with this before."

"A past life, yeah, I find the idea absurd if it weren't for that guy bringing every sort of chaos for my mind to be blown, my personal opinion is to merge since the voice in your head is just intruding on your personal space, but do you."

"I personally can't recommend one or the other." Leilah said to Vince, "I shouldn't have the right to interfere with your answer, just use your heart. If you need time, you can just say so, I'm sure the uncle just now can stay a bit longer to help."

"Right, I'll just go take a walk then." Vince nodded and left.

Vince sure got a tough life, first, his original family died and he's now asked to make a decision that can change his identity entirely, but even the others caught on to the 3rd option. If this Perseus is as strong as we think he is...

He can also just eliminate Lucifer's soul from Vince's body, but the option wasn't revealed to Vince because he doesn't want Vince to feel guilty about essentially eliminating the life of his former self.
