3rd Person POV
Chief Aminu was doing his daily task as usual, but a certain piece of news got to him that surprised him greatly, the church of the spring god has declared war on the anti-magic cult, and since their religion is tied with the whole eastern Continent, the royal family is now involved.
The southern continent is also now considering joining the war, they have tolerated the religious group for too long, and after the destruction of the cathedral of the spring god, they might be next.
With Phineas winning, the influence of the group is better than ever, especially his speech, it was published in every newspaper and it's constantly being discussed, so the public will find a hard time not remembering about it.
"Laker, we might want to make a move ourselves." the chief said
"What kind of move?" Laker asked "They're eliminating a common enemy, I particularly don't care about their religious practices, but their way of forcing their practices on us is quite harmful, there have been incidents where they have hurt civilians because of disagreements."
"Infighting will encourage movements from the demon continents, they're going to sneak in assassins and try to kill those who they deem are harmful while their backs are exposed. We need to help maintain the status quo, the heroes are influencing Tehios into their side, and without the anti-magic cult, we might be next.
"Tehios isn't gonna try to interfere, they have their own internal conflict, so they're prioritizing the solving of their own problems, we can easily hasten the process by killing Russo, he is the cause of their internal strife. Even though Tehios cooperate more with the human continents...they're not going to truly give their all to help eliminate the demon lord.
"So we want to keep both sides on edge, because if Tehios have Russo as one of their councilors, they will become an enemy state to the demons, and there's a possibility that the demon lord will try to invade, the status quo will prolong the safety of our nation, and afterward, we can talk about erasing the heroes and demon lord."
"With those 2 great powers gone, we'll be seen as a dominant sovereign state." Laker responded "We'll be safe as long as Perseus lives, but no one can guarantee what happens to us after he passes."
"Well, let's hope that he can have the gods help out, because their words can help protect our village."

Perseus POV
"You all look worse for wear." Ghost Dawn said as we got to the house for rest.
Let's just say that the next time I meet Jerah, I'm killing his ass, I'll kill him before he gets a chance to do the same to me, motherfucker had us ingesting poison, shooting ourselves, and doing many other things, basically, the motherfucker made us commit self-harm for the treasure.
I read a letter from my future self, and it just says 'Yeah, it hurts, doesn't it? LOL.'.
I was fine, but the to-be saints are a different story, they're not used to hurting themselves to this degree, and despite being religious, they have cursed Jerah more than I expected, that's like the father of the current god that they're serving.
The treasure is just armor sets, blankets, weaponry, and random relics, they don't seem to get much use, I had to fight other ghosts, I fought automaton lions, and other kinds of automatons to get these treasures.
They really are useless, they legit just phase through everything like I used the sword in an attempt to slash and cut something, but it just phases through them, they can detect whenever I try to use em with intentions to harm something or someone and when it doesn't, they can make physical contact again, so you can have them lean against the wall or something.
The worst part is that these treasures can't be stored in our storage spell, so we had to carry them, luckily Ruka just called out the petals and form a floating safe that's used to store the items and brought them with us.
I'm now just half expecting Ghost Dawn to finally transform into a monster now that these items are close by, but nada. I think the worst one was when we had to swim to the bottom of an acid pool, the moon is now at least cleared of every danger apart from the dragon.
"Well, at least you got all the weapons you need." Ghost Dawn said "You can rest here as much as you like."
"Will you disappear after we defeat the dragon?"
"Well, yes, but please don't forget to bring this house back along with the other back home, I don't want to see this one abandoned." she requested.
Well, I can use this as a tourist trap, it'll bring a lot of tourists to our village since people would want to see the house where their gods were raised, no one would try to vandalize the house, even criminals wouldn't, and it'll be an endless supply of money for the village and my descendants.
"Well, after I kill the dragon, do I have to poison myself and bleed out my poisoned blood into a chalice as proof before I can wield the orb?"
"I think you forgot the part where we had to drink it." Mark said, "Why must the moon god demand such torture for such weapons?"
"Well, that's because a weakling shouldn't be able to wield the key." Ghost Dawn answered
"The key?"
"The orb, that's the key for the true weapon."
"So it's a powerful weapon that can evolve, but instead of being the actual weapon, it's only a key, why didn't you tell me before?"
"Well, you'll be too motivated for the more powerful weapon and the adrenaline will make you more tolerant towards the pain, it's one of the things that Jerah tasked me to not do."
"Well, Ruka, say your goodbye, I'm gonna go fight that stupid dragon now, and I'm gonna go kill Jerah afterward."
