章節 107: Chapter 107: Maple's Favor

"So whose blood shall we use for the other entrance?" Leilah asked

We made our way back to the hotel we're staying at after a whole day of watching archeologists splash all sort of blood at the other entrance for it to only not work and reddened the sand for a bit.

"I have a slight suspicion of whose blood I can use."

"Who? The heroes' blood didn't work on the other one and yours didn't work either." Leilah responded

"The author doesn't seem that smart, so us fictional characters are limited to his range of knowledge as well, if we're all his creations, the first demon lord is as well, so instead of trying to think like the first demon lord, think like a pathetic author who writes fictional stories on the internet."

|Bro, what the fuck did I do?!|

"So what blood will be used for the other doors...I think I have a good guess."

|So you're just gonna ignore me?!|

"Well the treasure was initially made and given to him by the sun goddess, right? What if we use her blood?"

"She's not in our world, you idiot." Ruka replied as she ate an apple "Or are you suggesting someone with her blood?"

"Exactly, there are evidence of the gods making contact with heroes before, so that could be it, you 2 don't possess her blood since you were created by the moon god, but I know 2 people who do."

Maple and Lilith, I can make my way back and teleport to Zoris and make contact with her there since she can't step foot in another god's territory or I can call Lilith here and owe her a favor which might not turn out well, she's definitely more assertive and will use the favor in order to try and get me killed by Leilah's hands.

"Yeah, let's ask Maple, we don't want Lilith's." Leilah was probably on the same wavelength "I don't want my boyfriend to owe Lilith's any favor for now."

"I'm not your-"

"But we'll waste our money since there's no refunding from this hotel, we're wasting like a day's worth of time when Lilith will come instantly with a call." Leilah continued "And not just that, you might owe Maple too much."

"Yeah, I understand, but I'm not your bo-"

"Oh come on, we're exclusive at this point, just accept the complimentary title." she just waved me off "Ignore all the trouble, if you want, I can transform myself into a younger look if you're scared of me getting into trouble."

"Well, let's make a short trip back to...wait, can't you guys teleport?"

"We can, why?" both of the sisters answered

"And why haven't you used it? Last time, Lilith used it and gave away her identity as an ordinary demon to a powerful wandering demon of Tehios to the public."

"It's cuz you never ask, doofus, well home or Zoris?" Ruka asked

As mean as she is to me sometimes, I'm glad she warmed up to me enough to at least sleep in the same room, she actually really hated me at first for tricking her, though I guess she can't rewind time and just choose to move forward.

Besides, I guess it also takes up a lot of mana to move cross continentally, so it makes sense.

"So this makes it 3 dates, right?"

"I hate you." Maple grumbled

We came to Zoris and stayed in a nearby restaurant instead since going home means that I'll have to have awkward interactions with the heroes if we were to spot each other.

"Why? I treat you super nicely."

"Too nice." she complained "Isn't one woman enough for you?"

"I have 2 lives, so at least 2 is required minimum to satisfy me."

"You have 4 though."

"Are you admitting yourself as one of them?"

"I'm saying you're choosing to pursue 4, even Ruka knows that."

"And?"

"I thought your old world-"

"Why are you straying off topic? So can we request a bit of your blood for this so called treasure, like a bit since you don't contain the full sun goddess DNA unlike the heroes possessing the full heroes' DNA."

"Then that means I can request 1 thing out of you instead of adding a 3rd date, fair?" she asked

"Well you want it later or do you want it now?"

"I want you to help me reconcile with Lilith." she requested "I know we've talked a bit now, but I still want my relationship with her to be better than what it was, and you're in contact with her while I'm...well..."

That's the easiest favor I can grant, well she probably regret not helping her sister when they were younger and choose to distant herself when her parents disappeared.

We got a bit of Maple's blood and had Leilah teleported us back to the hotel, but damn a goddess blood is powerful, we had to went out and buy a super expensive vial to contain them, it was packed with dense mana, and she's supposedly one of the more peaceful ones.

We then went back the next day and threw a similar amount of the blood on the other entrance, and sure enough, after a while, red letters appeared atop the door as the temple start rumbling.

'The hardest blood to acquireth, the blood of the creat'r.'

"The hardest blood to acquire, the blood of the creator." Leilah and Ruka translated at the same time.

With that, the city then activated their defensive protocol where guards and 'adventurers' are tasked with keeping bystanders far away and make sure no one walk or fly past them while officials are tasked with a few of the archeologist to explore the site.

I say that because they're keeping me out despite being the one to get it open. They seriously think they can intimidate me with numbers; one 9 star mage, six 8 star mage and a bunch of others.

They're planning on using it for themselves or...

"We're acquiring for the rightful successors, the heroes." the 9 star mage said "We'll reward you with other treasures, the royal family even are granting you permission to access their treasury as compensation."

"Ruka, kill him."
