"Have you discovered anything about the culprit's identity?" He Juan asked first.
Much to his surprise, Marius shook his head. "No, but I may have something that can lead you to them." He grabbed the thick folder next to him. He Juan watched as he flipped through the papers before pulling out a few pieces, placing the rest of the folder aside. He slid the papers over to He Juan. "Read these."
Intrigued, He Juan took the papers and his gaze instantly landed on the heading that was printed in bold characters. "This…" he raised his head in confusion. Why did Marius want him to read some random people's resignation letters?
If it was any other people, He Juan would have suspected that they were playing a joke on him. But the person in front of him was Marius Morningstar, the man who had conquered Myanmar's drug trade and purged any seeds of rebellion in less than a year. Marius was the last person who would resort to joking, especially at a time like this.
Just want to explain something a bit. In case you're wondering why Omegas are the only ones targeted and not Betas when they literally make up of 95% the population, here's a few reasons why:
1. Omegas are usually mated to Alphas, and thus the possibility of them giving birth to Alphas are also higher.
Yes, there are omegas who are paired with omega or even beta, but those cases are far and few between in number. Alpha are the only one who can comfort and help omega get through their heats and similarly, alphas also need omega to soothe them during their rut period. Not to mention that Beta is unable to scent or mark their omega partner, thus exposing them to the risk of being forcefully bonded to others. Hence, it is medically recommended for omegas to mate only with alphas whose pheromones are compatible to them by 80% or above.
2. For the reason stated above, Beta tends to find another Beta as their partner. It's very rare for such couple to conceive an alpha.
