Each victory made them more powerful, the soul power they were getting increasing tremendously thanks to the number of monsters, as well as their power, but it also made it more and more difficult to fight.

The battles became harder as the monsters they fought became not only stronger but more intelligent as well, some even hiding their full strength at first or even hiding a portion of their numbers from them before suddenly going all out.
