When the ceremonial day finally arrived, Safira had butterflies in her stomach. She paced anxiously in her room. But it wasn't the ceremony that she was worried about. She had made up her mind days ago and she intended on keeping her promise.

She was worried about the lack of communication from Damien. After the messenger left, she didn't receive any word from him again. Their mind link seemed to have been shut off too.

"After the ceremony is done, we're heading back to Obsidian Howl," Safira told Archer as she packed the few belongings she had. She knew Alpha Vincent would attempt to convince her to stay but she had to find out what happened to her mate. He had offered to send some scouts to find out more information, but so far, there wasn't any news coming through.

"Alright, we can leave at dawn," Archer agreed.

"I'll go with you," Greyson added, "There's no need for me to remain here either."
