Cole's entire world seemed to have become ice cold as he trembled from head to toe. His eyes moistened again as he felt something stuck in his throat, unable to come out for some reason.

Oliver stayed in that position, and only when Cole backed away a bit did he become silent. He simply lay on the bed, breathing evenly as if he had gone into a deep sleep.

Cole didn't dare go close to the Omega anymore. He simply stood there without moving even a single bit.

How long had it been since he heard his name spoken by someone else? Decades.

His heart thudded in his chest, and it twisted in pain when he realized that this was probably the last time he heard that name coming out of Oliver's mouth.

This only added to the regret as he continued to stand.

The last few days were hard for Cole.

He wanted answers from Oliver, but the other man couldn't reply. If he dared to go near, the Omega would tremble and scream in fright as if Cole was going to torture him or something.
