Amy watched the passing scenery with a grim look in her eyes. Though Leland and Valley were neighbours, the weather changed drastically during the winters. This was because Leland was surrounded by the ocean on two sides while Valleys was much like the name suggested, surrounded by mountains on three sides. She had taken the short flight from Leland to Valley without any trouble and now, as the vehicle drove towards the palace, Amy felt her heart clench and her body shiver. The feeling of trepidation and her heart thudding in her chest made her queasy. 

The land was covered in a light layer of snow and immediately, Amy could recall making snow angels with the man who had once been her father. She had carefully avoided all news related to Valleys, a somewhat easier task thanks to the distance between where she lived and this place. So, she had never known that there was someone called Princess Emelia as well. Someone who had taken her place.
