The hall where the party was taking place was lavishly decorated. Located on the ninth floor of the Crystal Cave Hotel, the display of wealth and power was mind-blowing.

Karina looked around in awe, being careful not to be too noticeable as she was surrounded by people. Nothing about Veron was simple or plain. Everything screamed money, from his office to his house, to the kind of people he associates with and the parties he attends.

She came from an average home if average could define it. However, she never lacked anything. She was content with all the love, care, and attention she got from her parents, who ensured she didn't lack any basic needs.

The only thing she hated about her life was all the restrictions brought about by her so-called curse. For that reason, she couldn't see much of the world. Everything she had seen for the few days she had to deal with Veron were new experiences for her.
