With a single line of machinery, I was only able to really acquire a single type of material for now. Thankfully with this mine being near the Chasm. This area was a hotbed of countless trace minerals I could use the miner to extract decent amounts of even if it was slow.
The best part of my satisfactory-based crafting was the simple gunpowder recipe which needed only a single part of coal, and two parts sulfur. All of which I could acquire from the grounds here. Which meant, that once I got the machines to mine up the copper and tin to smelt into brass. I could have bullets made with the gunpowder. Creating an infinite loop of bullets so long as I had the machines working to acquire the ingredients.
And of course... If I had the power to supply all those machines.
Hence I was carefully drawing out a building plan to be as efficient as possible manufacturing facility that would make an Adeptus Mechanicus jealous and proud of my setup. "Five-meter thick iron plate and rebar reinforced walls... Three stories tall, turrets built onto the walls for protection and solar panels placed atop the roof." I muttered to myself as I drew upon the more potent Deep Rock Galatic weaponry those crazy-ass dwarves used in their mining of minerals on very hostile worlds.
"Keqing. The majority of monsters are scared of flames right?" I asked idly as I jotted down a supply line and pressure system leading to the walls and as she confirmed my thoughts I noted down. 'Acidic Napalm Launchers.' Next to the turret systems I was planning out.
'I can use the quicklime, in the limestone mining system as a concrete byproduct to use as an acid to blind and choke out people that bypass the turret systems.' I thought as I did some chemical math and realized that using the distilled fat from the Devil Apes with their cultivation or otherwise enhanced bodies would make a good flammable agent to act as the base.
"Jake... Why does this diagram look like some evil ritual?" Keqing asked dryly as she looked over the highly detailed floor layout of the factory system that was filled with my admittedly hard-to-read English chicken scratch. Which she obviously couldn't read at all.
My lips twitched at my floor plan being called some kind of evil spell and I dryly said. "It's just the guide for the factory I am planning... Now on the other hand I suppose I need to work on flattening out the area." I said stepping back away from the diagram as I took in the highly sloped area we were on that had a mountainside to the West of the camp and where we were mining.
To the south was a steep downward slop leading to one of Liyue's major valleys where a bit of farming was done, and to the North were more mountains, while on the East is the direction we came from and was also a deep slope downwards that led towards the city of Liyue.
'I cannot make a tractor to pound the ground flat... But I do have a workaround.' I thought wryly as I used the truck and a slopped large iron pad to press the ground nice and flat by driving the truck onto the large pad which compressed the ground rather well.
"Keqing, I need your men to start building. Can I borrow them?" I asked and she nodded quickly and whistled for her men to start following my orders although they grumbled at having to do heavy manual labor. When I told Keqing she could have the machine guns and the leftover ammo the men jumped ever so happily to help.
"Alright, guys. I need your help to make sure these metal plates are as thoroughly connected as possible." I said and then we began working to connect four-meter thick and five-meter wide iron and concrete plates together with the martial artists working their hardest to push the large plates together as I used the building gun to cold weld the atoms together via extreme magnetic energy that visibly distorted the air.
After an hour of back-breaking labor on the martial artist's side, I created a large platform with concrete pillars piercing the bedrock to give a strong foundation the platform was four meters thick of metal and specialized concrete and metal that could be called some form of fantasy or otherwise advanced concrete. And with the pad being a good hundred meters long and wide, that would give me plenty of space to get a good five or so machine lines set up with space to move around in.
"I need to make a better build gun," I muttered with a wry smile as it took me more than an hour to do the work it would take someone with a truly Satisfactory build gun less than thirty seconds to do with how the build gun could link up to a pocket dimension.
But I knew how to make everything in that vein... It just needed me to make machines to make the machines to make the machines that could make the materials to be used in such stuff. 'Unless I could somehow hook up a build gun to an interspatial bag or ring?' I thought before shaking the thought away as Keqing called out.
"Lady Ningguang is here." I looked over and in the distance was a highly ornate carriage covered in Liyue-style designs done in gold filigree and other precious metals flying through the air in clear defiance of gravity which was a clear indication of it being a cultivation tool.
The guards ran over and bowed their heads in the direction of the carriage behind Keqing in clear deference, and then a couple of moments later as the carriage landed on the platform I opened the door to the carriage's side. A couple of ladies wearing ornate dresses hopped out and then pulled out a set of golden steps hidden under the rim of the carriage and then the girls went on either side of the pullout staircase and bowed their heads as the lady of the hour stepped down into onto the large foundation I had a place.
Ningguang was a woman of elegance and control was my first thought as I took in her form while she elegantly walked down the steps of her carriage while in high heels. She had silver hair and piercing crimson eyes that even from a distance of a couple dozen meters, I could feel her seemingly looking through my soul.
She was also a more sensual beauty in comparison to Keqing's more down-to-earth attractiveness. She wore her tight-fitting cream and gold dress like it was a second skin and had no shame in displaying the dragon tattoo that climbed up her leg that was bared with the slit in her dress. And of course, the red ribbon that laid across her forehead was like a phoenix's feather as it contrasted with her silver hair.
"First, you bring weapons... Now you bring metal? What's next? Do you wish to inject yourself upon the dire food market which is failing?" Ningguang spoke in a teasing manner and unbidden came the plans and thoughts for industrial greenhouses that I could use for biofuel and of course food as well.
"Ah? You had or now have thoughts?" Ningguang said softly more to herself before shaking her head. And then she looked and took in the surroundings and although she grimaced seeing the clearly decrepit buildings in the surroundings she refocused on the thick foundation beneath her heels.
"Four meters thick... With both metal plates and spikes melding with rock to bind it all together, it's a good idea, I suppose but the metal supports are too much to be used in the Liyue walls." She muttered and I realized her feet had a golden glow about them so it was likely she was using some kind of earth/geo magic to find out what I had done.
