章節 30: Training to be the best!
"I assume you're ready as always?" Chloe asked me to be ready to fight with Toxel on the front lines.
"Of course." I throw my scarf back and send out my first pokemon.
"Go Kabuto!"
Kabuto ran out to the field prepared to fight.
"Ok ok stop…" Chloe said, shaking her head.
I was confused about what I did wrong but she finally explained.
"You need to focus on typings…" Chloe
"uhh…Typings?" I scratched my head. I didn't know what she meant by that.
"You don't know what typings are??" Chloe was convinced I was an idiot at this point but to be honest if she did she wouldn't be too far off.
"You know- Water, fire….grass??"
"OH those!" i nodded indicating that I understood what she meant now.
"Ok.. so my Toxel is an electric poison type so that means you should use?"
"Hmm…."
"A rock type?" I wasn't too confident in that answer-
"Well..yes and no…. What would be the best use?" Chloe kept trying to teach me..
"Uhh…ground?" I asked again.
"Yes! That's it! But you don't have that now so who should you use?"
"hmm…Kabuto!"
"No-" she facepalmed herself.
"But…it's a rock type-" I was confused at this point what did she want from me?
"But it's also a water type which means if I have an electric type move it will hurt your kabuto really badly."
"So..Zorua?"
Chloe nodded in approval.
"Though charmander is also good her-" Chloe tried to give me advice
"I don't think i want to use charmander-" I said returning Kabuto.
"Oh right… that's fine let's just battle now." Chloe's Toxel gets into a fighting position.
I threw my scarf back and sent my Zorua into battle.
Zorua took a fighting stance ready to have her rematch.
"Zorua use shadow ball!" I commanded and Zorua did just that.
Sending a ball of pure shadow and darkness right for Toxel .
"Toxel use protect!"
"Zorua Shadow ball a second time!"
Toxel protected itself from the impact of the first shadowball but letting its guard down too early she was hit by the second one sending her flying backwards into Chloe who caught her.
"You alright, Toxel??" Chloe asked concerned for her friend.
Toxel nodded and got out of her arms to fight again.
"Alright! Toxel use belch." Chloe commanded.
"Zorua aim directly for Toxel and use Shadowball!"
They both shot projectile type moves at each other in hopes to hit.
"Toxel use protect before the attack lands!"
"Zorua use copycat before the attack lands!!"
Both pokemon listen to their trainers commands and both used protect stopping their respective moves.
"Ok Zorua use dark pulse!" I pointed at Toxel and she did just that.
Zorua used darkpulse aiming directly at Toxel.
'Shit- I can't dodge that…..gonna have to take a risk here-"
"Use protect again!" Chloe commanded
"Zorua shadow ball!" I commanded.
Toxel tried to use protect but the move wouldn't come up and she was hit with both a dark pulse and shadow ball.
Toxel fell to the ground unable to battle.
Chloe crouched down near her friend and returned her.
"Good job Zorua!" i high fived Zorua and she did the same but with her tail.
By the time the battle was finished it was night time and we were tired.
"You improved a lot." Chloe complimented which was a rare thing.
"Thanks." I scratched my head a little embarrassed.
"I was talking to Zorua-" She said, completely killing my spirit.
I guess it makes sense she did all of the work to be honest I was just giving orders.
Tomorrow we're gonna challenge the gym and we're gonna be one step closer to being champion!
Just you wait Jeffery i'm gonna make you proud!
