章節 26: Chapter 26: The Coven

The three of them take off at full speed back to the palace. The rush of adrenaline is intoxicating, and Selene almost trips over people a few different times. She can’t imagine what the coven member will say, if anything, about Marcus’ plans. She wonders if Lucas sent someone to check on Onyx’s village yet as they approach the palace.

Derek hits the steps first, followed by Selene and Onyx. He leads them to the great hall where they had met everyone just a couple of hours earlier. They walk in silently and slide over to where Sparrow and Marcus are sitting. Selene is worried that it will be difficult to hear so far away from the questioning, but the room acts as an echo chamber.

“Your silence says it all,” Lucas says to the captured member.
