Bethany was in control and I could see that she knew it. Standing on the deck of the yacht like she was captain of the ship. It looked like she was alone, but I guessed, like me, there was a whole crew I couldn’t see.

It wasn’t the first dangerous situation I had ever been in and I knew I would just have to step carefully. I only hoped the others would do the same.

Despite my suspicions about his possible involvement, I was relieved to have Anthony with me. He knew the underworld better than most. Something that could actually come in handy in that situation.

His offer of help was a little suspicious. Turning up at my car just as I was coming out of the bank after getting the money.

Then again, he was a Peterson and might have just been smart enough to have figured it out, as well as having an impeccable sense of timing.
