Kevin whipped his head up rather quickly as he heard those words. His eyes widened in shock.

She continued on, "Ken would be thrilled to have a playmate. I know he gets lonely sometimes too. We have an extra room, so it would not be a problem."

Kevin shook his head in disbelief.

When he didn’t initially respond, she quickly said, "But if you don't want to, it's okay too. There is no pressure."

Kevin looked between Olivia and me. "Can I really come to live with you?"

I cocked my head in confusion. I wasn't sure why he had asked that. "Why couldn't you, buddy?"

"Well, I am under eighteen. Can I come stay with you?" Kevin asked.

"I don't see why not. You're my half-brother." I smiled at him.

Kevin’s face lit up and he smiled happily. He threw his arms into the air and gave a happy shout. His eyes glowed with happiness and relief. He nodded happily at Olivia and me.
