章節 20: Hidden feelings and the banquet of farewell
News about me leaving soon had spread throughout the kingdom like a wildfire.
These past years I have been deeply integrated in the hearts of these people and so they didn't just wanted to let me go like that.
And thus, this happened...
{ Invitation letter~
You are cordially invited to attend the grand banquet of farewell for the great "Kingdom annhiliator".
For his help these past years, that kept is safe from all the upcoming dangers, we would like to give him the most grand and fulfilling farewell.
Even the king and queen are invited.
Please arrive at the XYZ destination to thank our hero. }
This invitation was spread throughout the kingdom.
"Sigh... It seems that i will have to attend it before going away..." I sighed and said in a helpless tone.
"It all your fault. Who told you to become such a hero for them?" I got annoyed as i heard this teasing voice of Rio.
"Well... For the first time in your life, i think you are right." I replied back while lying on air.
"Yes yes. I know i am right-- WAIT!! What do you mean by first time in life?!" Rio replied affirmatively and then retorted.
"Nothing? I don't remember saying anything." I said while trying to stop giggling.
"You!!! I swear if you were weaker than me, i would have taught you a lesson!!" Rio replied angrily.
"Unfortunately for you, i am absolutely stronger." I said while laughing out loud and flying higher.
While here we were playing and teasing each other, on the other side, someone was completely in a internal havoc...
Sayo was roaming around here and there in her room.
She looked sad but confused, happy but shy, angry but calm.
Although she looked quite fine on outside, but inside her mind was completely running wild.
It should be completely obvious why she was in her current state.
The reason was none other than the great event taking place now.
The grand farewell banquet.
These past years, sayo had been quite close to Carlos.
She feels secure around Carlos, she always hears the voice inside her telling her to be near Carlos. For her, it's like Carlos is all that matters. All that exist. All that should be.
She wants to be near him but can't always be because of her shy nature. She wants him to stay but doesn't have the courage to say it to him.
At last, she decided something. If she can't stop him from going, she will go with Carlos.
She started to make plans to convince him to take her with him but she was just too shy to execute it.
She even thought of directly confessing him in the middle of banquet but she doesn't have courage to. She is afraid of what would happen if Carlos rejects him and she becomes a joke in front of whole kingdom.
She even thought of directly giving him her purity but again she is too shy to commit such a shameful act. She doesn't even know of how to do it. She is completely inexperienced in the topic of love.
She could have already confessed to Carlos in early years but she always thought that she was not worthy enough to be with Carlos.
But now that she got to know that he is leaving, her heart won't calm down at all.
She just want to know the answer. Does he also love her?
But not knowing how to do it, she used her last option. Asking her friends.
She only had two best friends in the whole village.
They were none other than Rio and Ruri.
And so, she called both of them in a old house, just a day before banquet.
Rio and Ruri walked inside the old house with their lanterns and saw sayo sitting on a mat.
They both sat on the mat and noticed that sayo had dark bags under her eyes.
As her friends, they both understood that their friend must be suffering from some kind of problem and decided to try their best to help her.
Sayo started to tell her problem to them in a worried tone.
After sayo stopped speaking, she looked at their faces but was confused by seeing their expressions.
Ruri was blushing heavily and lowering her head in embarrassment. Her expressions were same as Sayo's when she was thinking of Carlos. Sayo had no problem with her friend feeling the same way. Afterall it would be too strange if she didn't.
On the other side, Rio was looking at both of them with disappointment and pity.
Both Sayo and Ruri were confused by Rio's expression.
Rio sighed and started to talk.
"... You both have fallen in love with Carlos. And to tell you, it not at all weird. Afterall... it's not the first time I have seen someone fall in love with Carlos. Let me tell you a story about Carlos and the girls in spirit town..."
And then, Rio narrated all the things that happened with Orphia, Sara and others.
He kept telling them about how he saw the story in side character view. Hiw he understood their feeling and how Carlos just tried to avoid all of the advances that orphia tried.
It felt like Carlos didn't wanted to be with orphia but Rio wasn't dumb. He clearly understood it. Carlos wasn't avoiding the relationship with orphia. It was not that he was scared or he didn't have courage. Carlos wasn't dense either. Taking Carlos's looks into count, he could just sleep with the world's most beautiful girl without any problems.
Rio knew that the only reason was that orphia was still underage and that Carlos believed that she shouldn't be stuck behind him. Carlos wanted orphia to feel worthy enough and to not just stand beside him.
He told all of the story to Ruri and Sayo.
Hearing all of this, their eyes widened with enlightenment. They now knew what to do but were a little sad because they thought that they would not be his first considering his looks and how many girls have fallen for him.
Seeing their sad looks, Rio decided to say something that would definitely cheer them up,
"... You know what, Carlos still has his first kiss..."
And as expected, their mood hyped up.

The day of banquet came.
Whole kingdom was decorated and invitation flyers were spread around using wind magic.
Every single citizen was excited. They wanted this to be the best event of history.
They even prepared fireworks.
Around evening, the banquet finally started.
Royal family prepared thousands of tons of wine for everyone. This was really a grand event.
Soon the main guest of the event, Carlos entered the banquet hall.
Loud cheers and thank yous filled the hall.
Banquet officially started with the entry of king and queen.
Everyone was having fun.
After a while, Sayo and Ruri entered the banquet hall. They picked the most beautiful possible dresses for each other.
They looked like fairies that just came from heaven.
Ruri wore a beautiful black sleeveless dress and a black skirt that reached her feet. She even wore heels and tied her hair in a ponytail. There were small white balls of light that were created using magic. All in all she looked a devilish beauty.
On the other side, Sayo wore a white dress that resembled a wedding dress. She even had a long white veil. Her dress was much longer and flowed towards the ground. All in all, she is a angelic beauty.
Nobody even knew where they got such dresses. Of course except Rio who was aware of mordern culture.
The banquet continued happily and everyone was able to express their gratitude to their hero.
As the banquet was coming to the end, it was time for Carlos to leave.
After receiving hugs from his uncle and aunt, he walked out of the banquet hall.
Ruri and Sayo, who saw this, knew that it was now or never.
They wanted to rush but their legs were trembling.
'come on!! Move!! You can do it!!' was what both of them were thinking of.
Mustering enough courage, they ran towards where Carlos had gone.
After thinking all this, they are not going to let it all fail now.
Now it had became the situation of...
DO OR DIE!!!

Hey, author here,
This chapter was filled with how sayo and ruri realises their feeling.
Soon this world is going to come to end after one more timelapse.
I saw how some of you gave me ideas for new mangas and animes that can be added as future world but their are some that i have not seen yet so it would be nice if you guys could tell some more ideas.
