PERSPECTIVE: Aizea - The girl that hears after dark

It's very soon that I don't even try to keep track of time. It's no difficult feat. I can feel the darkness of the forest dragging me towards it as if it's the light - the light that I've always seen in his eyes and loved. My senses, otherwise are all numb and unfeeling. Maybe, my subconscious has deliberately locked all it off. I know what I'm going to hear if I let my ears function - the persistent and eerie thumps of clawed paws on the damp forest floor.

I can only feel the brush of the cool forest wind against my skin. After a long while, I'm not sure how long, I realize that I'm so very thoroughly out of breath that I can't quite run any longer. I have to stop, and I do stop.
