It did not take Benedito and me long to go to bed. Well for him to go to bed since I was confined to bed anyway. A bed was positioned next to mine so that we were close but not close enough that he could accidently hurt me. 

The man looked beyond exhausted and that explained why he passed out within minutes once he rested his head on the pillow. I felt terrible for him and my entire family. All of them looked exhausted and I hoped today they slept with some peace of mind knowing I was okay. 

Once I was sure Benedito was fast asleep I dropped the protective railing off the bed with the fancy remote. I slowly yet carefully positioned my legs off the bed before I shimmied off. I had to bite my bottom lip to prevent myself from hissing as my ribs screamed in agony.
