"I'm starving," Bobby complained as I washed his hair as he sat in the bath. 

"I know meu coração but you can't eat until after your operation," I smiled softly as he looked at me with a pout then closed his eyes so I could rinse his hair out. 

"I'm thirsty as well."

"I know but you just have to hold on for a few hours."

It was 6am on the day of Bobby's operation. It was procedure to not eat or drink hours before any operation, but when it came to Bobby it was extremely hard to explain that to him. 

"I'm probably going to die from starvation," he frowned. 

For the past three days I had been washing him, feeding him and doing everything he could possibly need since he did not have much mobility to begin with. I could tell it was hard for him because he loved doing things for himself.
