There was a tense silence in the bar once I had stopped singing. Everyone seemed to be staring at me in complete awe as I tried to regain my composure. I had been rehearing this night and planning it over and over again for the past week. The stress of possibly forgetting a lyric or stumbling ate me up inside for the past few hours.
Before we had left I had found myself complaining about everything and anything in pure nervousness. Benedito obviously had no clue since he just sat on the bed looking at me with his intense gaze that it somehow made me worry even more.
What if he hated my singing?
