Christopher lay close to Rose, patiently waiting for her to be still. He tenderly held her face in his hands, his thumb lightly brushing the warmth of her flushed skin. The beauty of her at this moment left him unable to speak and breathless. When she opened her eyes, she was met with his heart-shattering smile and the warmth of his loving gaze.

He leaned on his arm, his body still covering hers, and asked, "Is Everything better now?" Chris lovingly brushed his lips against her forehead. 

Before Rose could answer, the sound of rolling thunder filled the air, and the lovers felt the ground shake beneath them. As the Lord surveyed the meadow, the gentle breeze had grown into a strong wind, and the animals were scurrying to find shelter.

It was only a little past noon when the sky became oppressive with its heavy, dark grey clouds. The sky was torn apart by a jagged lightning bolt, its bright light illuminating the darkness.
