As Valentina rushed forward, the necromancer called out a warning to her blinded comrade and in the split second before the vampiress arrived at her target, she had to come to a halt as he managed to get his own protective barrier up. It didn't seem perfect by any means, but it was still too reckless for Valentina to just try and force her way past it.
What appeared was a sphere of near invisible blades that surrounded the republican, similar in form to the floating shards of his domain, but these were much more intentionally shaped in order to protect himself. If the floating shards were anything to go by though, this globe of blades would shred anything that it came in contact with and the Archduchess could only breathe a sigh of relief that her momentum didn't carry her into it.
