Without waiting a moment more Valentina snatched up the scroll tube and immediately began looking over the contents. Her face, at first questioning and confused, grew darker and darker each line she read.
"Sabrina, is this true?"
"Well, it's not false. Everything recorded in the scroll is the information I know with certainty. I left any conjecture out of it so some things that are tentative were omitted. But yes, it's exactly as it says."
The vampiress held her head in one hand while handing the scroll off to Dahlia with the other. Looking over the information, she immediately was beginning to see why Valentina had such a harsh reaction.
The contents detailed observations of movement within the combined facility of the fort and adjoined mines. Descriptions of people coming in and going out, approximate numbers, overheard conversations, and descriptions of appearances, weapons, tamed beasts etc.

AngelAsphodel It's on the shorter side, closer to the length I used to do, but i still hope you enjoyed.
The introduction to the castle and slice of life is largely coming to an abrupt close, and while there is still some training to be done, we soon shall be entering a new arc of the story proper. I hope you look forward to what is to come!
