Later that evening as Miguel drove Gemma back home from Aunt Sophie's place he kept stealing glances at her and that's because he was curious. She looked different from the Gemma that he had dropped off at her aunt's place. 

The present Gemma in his car looked cheerful and chatty. Could it be the pregnancy? She was even chatting about the weather. Did she hit her head on something? Is she all right? Miguel wondered as he listened to her talk. 

"Can we make a quick stop at the pharmacy?" Gemma asked as they approached a pharmacy. 

"You need to get something?" Miguel asked glancing at her. 

"Yeah, I won't take long."

"Something wrong? Are you not feeling well?" Miguel asked. He had read that pregnant women weren't supposed to take any medication not prescribed for them by a doctor. 

"I'm feeling just fine, I only need to get something that I need. So can we stop at the pharmacy?" 

"Yeah, sure."
