章節 38: Chapter 38: Gratitude

Kinsley’s POV

Terron and I stand outside my father’s home, looking at the mossy bricks and the simple, delicate flowers planted out front. The remainder of his pack watches on as we hesitate, as we try to adjust to what this all means.

My father, Alpha Jonathan, is dead and the pack he once chose over me is stuck in a world they do not understand. The Alpha they loved is gone and my father can no longer use them as an excuse not to treat me like his daughter.

None of that matters anymore and I pull into Terron’s side, finding an odd sense of calm come over us both. We turn to face the pack that knows the future they have. Either Alpha Connor or Terron. Either way, my father is no longer my problem, or anyone else’s.

“This pack is going to see some changes,” Terron says, his voice effortlessly carrying through the wooded village. “The first one being, if any warrior, any wolf at all, ever treats my mate like her father has, then they will face the retribution of me and my wolf.”
