Kinsley’s POV
Terron won’t stop pacing the length of the house. I finally got some clothes on and took my focus to the wolves that were wounded in the ambush. Some of them are able to heal on their own with a little bit of time and rest, while a few are left to the healer’s hands.
I offer blankets and water to all of them, trying to make sure they’re well-fed so they can gain their strength and heal faster. I try lighting the fireplace but there’s nothing worthy of being a fire starter in this house.
With Terron pacing through the kitchen in his newest lap, I take the note Ace scribbled out for me and light it on fire, sliding it into the middle of the pile of sticks. They eventually catch fire and warmth consumes the entire fireplace, heat rippling through the room.
