When I jumped off Vrida's back, I didn't say anything and immediately hugged the husband who had been away from me the entire afternoon.

Was it because of what we were going to attempt? I want to cling to him so much, and just these few hours already made me feel suffocated. All I wanted to do was bury my face in his chest and feel his cold temperature seeping into my heated skin. When I felt his hands on my head and back, I hugged him tighter, and let out a long, relieved sigh.

"Your aunt is still here," he whispered.

Ack! I pushed Natha away in reflex, although in hindsight, Amarein had seen me being clingy to Natha a lot, so there was no need to get flustered. Still, it was kind of embarrassing doing that in front of your older family member.

"Don't mind me," she chuckled and walked toward Vrida, who lowered her head in a greeting. "I had finished setting up the isolation barrier, so no one would be able to approach this spot."
