Most moods were bright that evening. 

However, there was a storm brewing between Ebari and Galen. 

After Galen told him they should be more careful in public, Ebari felt a pang of sadness. 

He knew it wasn't fair to rely on Galen so much to get him through the impending loneliness of Varya and Basileus's engagement, but it didn't stop his heart from doing whatever it wanted. 

Whenever drinks passed by the table, Ebari grabbed another one, hoping that would at least ease his mood while they were at the party. 

Before he knew it, he was drunk. 

While he silently agonized over the situation, he concluded what he wanted to do that evening. It had been something he had been putting off for far too long. 

The guilt of the invasion ate away at him often but he had been trying to ignore it. 

He knew deep down that it was his fault the planet had been attacked in the first place.
