Walker took a giant leap backwards after watching Zayn stab himself in the guts. He was shocked by the man's action, and his instincts were telling him to back away for the moment. Something was definitely up, 'maybe he needs to mortally injure himself in order to activate his gift. If that's the case, then I shouldn't let him finish whatever he's doing' he hypothesized before launching forward at Zayn.
