Jael watched Damon leave and his hands folded into two fists. Basically, all he could do was wait. He was never great at waiting games. He walked back and forth.
"Would you calm down?" Kieran scolded. "You're not helping."
"Can I see her now?" He asked, ignoring Kieran's words.
Kieran sighed, "I suppose. I do want to check on her myself to see that everything is fine. Come with me."
There was a guard in front of the door when they got to the entrance. He bowed as he acknowledged their presence.
"Any news?"
The guard shook his head, "Nothing, my Lord."
"I see," Kieran said and touched the handle.
Jael stood behind Kieran as he pushed the door open. Jael closed his eyes as he walked in. The first thing he got a whiff of was blood. It wasn't just her blood but it smelt more strongly than anything.
