章節 372: A Souvenir Of Pain

The following morning at Luke's mansion, he woke up to a head splitting headache and a terrible hurting side.

He tried to move his body but the enormous pain coming from his side was just too unbearable. Even breathing in and out was a nightmare.

'What the hell happened to me? Why am I on the floor? Where is Riley?' 

Different questions clamoured for attention in his head. But, instead of getting answers to all his questions, his head ached the more.

"Water," Luke tried to speak but his words came out as a whisper. He moistened his dry lips, sucked up his pain and slowly sat up while holding his side and groaning in distress.

Leaning his back on the bed, he closed his reddened eyes and tried to recall what happened to him. But his patched throat and unquenchable thirst denied him any form of concentration.

"If only I can stand up and get to either my phone or the door," Luke muttered as he reopened his eyes and stared around the room.
